Used Computer Store

The Squamish Hotspot houses a small computer recycling program and used computer store   The program is run by volunteers at the Hotspot.  We take donations of used technology, evaluate & refurbish it for sale in our store!   We try to keep our sale prices low so that those in need of a computer can afford them.  We take donations of just about any computer equipment (including cell phones).  On Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 3pm to 5pm we usually have volunteers available to help with computer problem solving on a by-donation basis.

For donation we take

Phone, Monitors, Laptops and Tablets

Keyboard and Mouse

Desktop Computers

Any Computer Parts

What we do with donated equipment?

Accessories such as mice, keyboards, printers, and other computer parts, are tested to see if they work.

For Computers, we wipe all hard drives to ensure donor privacy before refurbishing.  The system is cleaned, tested for basic functionality and then Ubuntu Linux is installed before it is put out for sale.

Any equipment that we cannot use will be passed on to Free Geek, or in some cases the Squamish Bottle Depot.
