Located in downtown Squamish,  the Squamish Welcome Center is operated by the Squamish Volunteer Centre Society (SVCS), a local volunteer-driven non-profit. Here, you’ll find the Migrant Worker Support Program, the Squamish Community Bookstore & Computer Lab, community events and programs such as language learning opportunities and digital literacy programs, Squamish Newcomer Services, and so much more!

The Migrant Worker Support Program is available to help temporary foreign workers and their families navigate work and life in Squamish. All services are free and confidential, and include one-on-one appointments, workshops, fun activities, and more. Book an appointment  at miwow@welcomesquamish.ca or stop by the Welcome Centre and say hello!

The Squamish Community Bookstore is your go-to, volunteer-run source for books in Squamish. Books are donated by community members and shelves are curated by dedicated volunteers. The Bookstore is pay what you can, pay what feels right, starting at $3 per book. Want to get involved? Volunteers get one free book per shift!
